THE LEGEND OF ZIBHEBHU KAMAPITHA

splendid original photo of Zibhebhu kaMapitha.
Now, Zibhebhu was head of the Mandlakazi section of the Zulu Royal House and he commanded the iNdluyengwe at iSandlwana, pursuing the British survivors to Fugitives' Drift, then led the ambush on Redvers Buller on 3 July. He became an implacable opponent of King Cetshwayo after the war and defeated the King at oNdini in 1884 - this photo apparently dates to that time.
